Where is Coonooer Bridge?
Coonooer Bridge is the starting point for the children's adventure, and it's an actual place! Located approximately 100kms due west of Bendigo in central Victoria (Australia), Coonooer Bridge is a small, farming community located on the Avoca river, in between St.Arnaud and Charlton.
What is a Wyvern?
A Wyvern is a large, fearsome, dragon-like beast. In the story, a Wyvern has previously threatened the lives of the Dalriadan inhabitants. When protected by a Wyvernstone, this winged creature is almost invincible. More of the animals, creatures and characters to be found in the novel are listed on the "characters" page of this website.
How long did it take to write the story?
Andrew Borg wrote the story for his own children over the course of about 12 months. He spent another 18 months correcting and refining it, before spending yet another 2 years procrastinating! Finally, and after encouragement from family and friends, he took up the challenge of sending the finished manuscript out to publishing companies for their review.
Who painted the beautiful pegasus picture for the front cover?
